Ray’s journey in the hair industry began long before his professional training—at just four years old, he was happily blow-drying his sisters’ hair, unknowingly planting the seeds of a lifelong passion. “The roots of my love for hair go back to those early moments,” Ray reflects.

Ray’s professional path started with Aveda, where he immersed himself in training classes, hair shows, and mentorship from seasoned artists. He then expanded his expertise at the Salon Professional Academy, training alongside top Redken artists to refine his mastery of advanced color trends and precision cutting techniques.

Now a talented stylist at The Salon South, Ray is known for his ability to create customized looks that go beyond the ordinary. He blends artistry with strategy, designing formulas and styles tailored to each guest’s unique lifestyle and needs. “In a profession that can sometimes feel cookie-cutter, I want every guest to feel like their look was crafted just for them,” he shares.

From the thoughtful touch of a blow dry to the detail of a perfect cut, his work reflects both technical skill and a true love for the craft.
